Actual Annual Salary: £2,931 - £3,195 Based on hours and works worked
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.
Contract Type: Fixed term contract.
Contract Length: Fixed term contract until the 31 August 2026.
Hours: Part Time, 5 hours per week, Thursday and Friday afternoon, Term Time Only
Provisional Start Date: As soon as possible.

We are looking for a passionate Play Leader to join our supportive and talented team Begbrook Primary Academy on a fixed term basis working 2.5 hours within the afternoon.
As the Playleader the opportunity will involve supervising a team to deliver a successful play provision for children. The role requires someone who can work collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role and contribute positively to a quality play care service responsive to the needs of children and their parents.
About you:
You will have:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a play-based, youth work, or educational setting.
- The ability to lead and motivate a small team, ensuring smooth and safe daily operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
- A good understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management practices.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge and a willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., first aid, medication administration).
- A commitment to inclusion, equity, and promoting the wellbeing of all students.

Begbrook Academy is a three-form entry primary school with a pre-school, situated in Stapleton, on the outskirts of Bristol. Our school population is culturally, socially and economically diverse.
