Our Art and Design section, based at Harrow Weald Campus, offers Entry Level 3 Gateway and Level 1 to 3 UAL full time programmes, as well as part time pottery and ceramics courses.
As Course Team Leader: Art and Design, you will be responsible for the curriculum management including recruitment, retention and achievement of students. You will provide curriculum leadership, supervise a team of Lecturers and teach on courses according to your specialism, and take the lead in Internal Verification and standardisation activities to meet UAL and Gateway specifications and deadlines of all courses, particularly the Level 3 Applied General external assessments. You will also build and maintain links with employers and other external stakeholders to secure live briefs and work experience for students.
You will need to possess a degree in the relevant subject area, an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (PGCE, DET or equivalent) and have relevant teaching experience within an FE environment, including delivery of UAL Diploma programmes, together with experience of marking and assessment.
