About the Role:
- You will be an outstanding individual joining the Department of Animal and Agriculture on a fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
- You will support our teaching provision in the areas of animal therapy and animal science.
- The role will entail module leadership and lecture delivery across a number of animal modules, and you will play an important role in our BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science, BSc (Hons) Veterinary Biosciences and BSc (Hons) Applied Animal Science with Therapy programmes.
- As an Academic Personal Tutor, you will support students as they transition into and through Higher Education, enabling them to maximise the opportunities Hartpury offers, and to achieve their full potential.
- A candidate with excellent communication skills, and with experience and the ability to work professionally with industry contacts across subject areas would be welcomed.
- The role requires a passion for educating, influencing and enabling the next generation of graduates to add value to the industry, nationally and globally.
- You will grasp the opportunity to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and ambitions that will build on current strengths within the department, and across the institution.
About You:
- You will be highly motivated with a commitment to the highest quality of teaching
- You will support higher education programme delivery, hence you will be highly enthusiastic, professional and collegiate.
- You will possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area, with a PhD being desirable.
- Ability to teach animal therapy and allied subjects.
- Relevant industry experience within the subject field would be an advantage.
- You will ideally hold a teaching qualification.
