Salary Grade: Surrey PS8 £35,730 - £38,585 FTE
Working pattern: 20 hours; 40 weeks (39 weeks including 5 INSET days plus 1 week)
Responsible for: Administration Team, Caretaker and Senior Midday Play Facilitator

An exciting opportunity has become available for a School Business Manager to join our friendly and supportive Leadership team. As the Business Manager you will provide strategic and operational support, leading and managing all aspects of business innovation, finance, facilities management, personnel, plus leadership of the administrative and premises staff.
Prior experience in a school setting and/or an accounting or SBM qualification are desirable but not essential. Applicants should be able to lead a team, and to interact positively with stakeholders at all levels.
We are looking for an SBM who:
- Is friendly, flexible, approachable and has a great sense of humour
- Experience in managing finance, budget control and associated financial duties in a school setting.
- Has a working knowledge of payroll and human resources.
- Demonstrate good communication and IT knowledge and skills.
- Has proven experience in managing staff.
- Can adapt to the ever-changing environment of a school.
- Is excellent at time management and can work under pressure whilst remaining calm.
- Can provide clear and relevant reports to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors
- Previous use of a management information system is beneficial but not essential as full training opportunities are available.
- Be professional, efficient, creative, and well-organised.
- A willingness to be involved in school life
