YEAR GROUP LEADER AND RECEPTION CLASS TEACHER - required from September 2024

YEAR GROUP LEADER MPS/UPS plus TLR2b

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Early Years teacher to lead our Reception team from September.

We are a highly inclusive, ambitious school with a strong commitment to ensuring that all children are valued and achieve the best they possibly can.

We are looking for someone who;

• is passionate about improving children’s learning and creating an exciting environment in which children thrive

• is a creative, hardworking practitioner with significant Infant experience

• has a clear understanding

• has a clear understanding of effective teaching and learning

• is a highly inclusive practitioner and committed to raising standards for all children

• has high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour

• is willing to work as part of a team, as well as leading a team

• is a good communicator and team player who will take an active part in the life of the whole school.

We can offer:

• Dedicated PPA time (one day per fortnight) with other teachers within the year group

• Dedicated leadership time (up to one day per fortnight) with other YGLs

• A supportive, inclusive and welcoming environment to work in

As part of the interview, candidates will be asked to plan and deliver a short (20 minute) phonics session which will be observed by the interview team. Details will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
