High Down Infant School in Portishead require wrap around support for a pupil in Reception Year. This support has been broken down into three posts, but applicants are welcome to apply for a combination of the posts.
The pupil the Postholder(s) will be supporting has high level social and communication needs. Full training will be provided.
Post 1:
- 1:1 Learning Support Assistant Monday to Friday 9 to 11.45am – 13.75 hours per week
Post 2:
- 1:1 SMSA 11.45am to 1pm – 6.25 hours per week
Post 3:
- 1:1 Learning Support Assistant Monday to Friday 1 – 3.15 pm – 11.25 hours per week
The contracts will start as soon as possible and the term of each is fixed until 31st August 2022 or the withdrawal of the funding if earlier.
The 1:1 LSA posts are graded at JG3 - £19.312 - £19,698 per annum full time equivalent, (hourly rate £10.01 - £10.21).
The 1:1 SMSA post is graded at JG1C - £17,842 - £18,198 per annum full time equivalent, (hourly rate £9.25 - £9.43).
The ability to work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher is essential, however we are also looking for somebody who is able to use his/her initiative to fully support the integration of the child and work through any programmes of support as indicated on the pupil’s IEP.
