Role Overview:
We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic French specialist to join our friendly team. The role will involve covering different classes mainly in upper key stage 2 with an additional responsibility for leading French lessons across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging and effective French lessons to pupils from Reception to Year 6
- Providing high-quality cover teaching for our leadership team mainly in upper key stage 2 and other classes across school
- Delivering small intervention booster groups to upper key stage 2
- Contributing to planning, assessment, and curriculum development of French and other subjects you teach to ensure a cohesive and rich educational experience for students
- Taking on the role of Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Coordinator, overseeing the development and implementation of the school’s language curriculum, ensuring high standards and progression in French across all year
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience of teaching French to children.
- A passion for curriculum planning
- Excellent relationships and management of classroom behaviour
- Ability to be flexible
