Horizons College are looking for an inspirational teacher of Creative Arts that will be able to create a nurturing learning environment, together with a commitment to bringing out the best in every learner, to join an established Independent Specialist Provider.

We are looking for staff to join our team who are passionate about improving students’ life chances and capable of contributing to a highly effective and supportive teaching team and our extensive enrichment programme.

Experience working with SEN is advantageous however this position may also be suitable for a candidate looking to move across teaching into SEN.

The job role:

• The successful candidate will have a passion for the Creative Arts: Visual Arts, Music, Graphic Design and Photography,

• Teaching a Vocational curriculum to learners (aged 16 +) with SEND, (entry level up to Level 2)

• Implement appropriate assessment, objective setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of educational programmes

• Effectively plan teaching within the designated subject

• Ensure that student learning experiences are organised in a progression which supports the development of each individual

• Promoting the well-being of young people and staff and develop good relationships with all learners and parents

Horizons College is a non-residential Independent Specialist College for adults with SEN and Disabilities.
