We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Student Support Services team within Heart of Worcestershire College based in our Bromsgrove, Redditch and Worcester Campuses. There are two roles available.
The purpose of the role is:
- To advance processes that enable the college to gather the “Learner’s Voice” and to train and support students to fulfil their roles as Student Ambassadors and members of the Student Executive Board.
- To organise and promote a range of health and wellbeing campaigns and resources to raise awareness of relevant issues that impact on students and signpost to support.
- To support the development of Social Action plans and reporting using ‘Good for me, Good for FE’ initiative, acts of kindness and ‘I will’ campaign.
- To further develop focus group activities for identified cohorts of learners to support equality, diversity and inclusion objectives.
- To develop activities and resources to support learners to develop their character, including confidence, resilience and independence.
- To develop activities and resources to prepare learners for life in modern Britain, by equipping them to be responsible, respectful, active citizens who contribute positively to society, developing their understanding of fundamental British values and their understanding and appreciation of diversity.
- Develop enrichment activities to enhance personal development and the learner experience.
- Oversee the management of the student recreational space ‘The SUB’
- Line management responsibilities for department apprentice.
To be considered for this role you must have a Level 2 (at least) qualification in both Maths and English, or a willingness to gain; knowledge and experience of working with 16-18 year olds and the ability and confidence to co-ordinate groups and encourage teamwork.
