Digital Marketing Officer

Location: Howell’s School, Llandaff

Required from: ASAP

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: Full time 36 hours per week 8.30am to 4.30pm, although attendance at events will require some evening and/or weekend hours. Application for part time hours will be considered.

Salary: Dependent on experience

The Role:

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic digital marketing professional to join the Marketing Department at Howell’s School.

The role will cover all areas of the school from Nursery to Year 13. Responsibilities will include planning, creating and managing all content for distribution across our digital and social media channels, planning and executing paid online marketing campaigns and delivering online events to support the development of the School’s profile and to increase recruitment. The role also has overall responsibility for the on-going development of the School website.

Skills & Experience required:

With proven experience in digital marketing, you will be adept at creating engaging content and developing digital campaigns. You will be a confident writer and communicator, able to quickly turnaround stories and ideas. You will be responsible for ensuring the consistent presentation of the Howell’s brand across all our digital communication channels including email, website and social media platforms. You will manage the day to day updates of the external facing website. Your skills and experience will include:

• Significant experience in a digital marketing role

• Experience of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ad words, paid social media campaigns and CMS systems, FaceBook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads and LinkedIn Advertising

• Ability to create engaging content for multiple communication channels

• Excellent and creative writing skills

• Experience of managing content across multiple social media channels

• Outward-looking, positive, collaborative work-style, capable of inspiring trust in people from a wide variety of backgrounds

• Ability to use a variety of data sets to influence campaign planning and management

• Attention to detail

• Proficient user of: CMS systems, Illustrator, Light Room; Adobe Suite including InDesign, Premier Pro and Photoshop; Google Drive

• Creative thinker, with the ability to develop and deliver ideas

Howell’s School, Llandaff, is one of the oldest girls’ school in Wales, having opened in August 1860. Since then, it has steadily expanded, both in terms of student numbers and physical size.
