Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a committed and highly motivated Teaching Assistant, to join our dedicated team from 1st September 2026

We are recruiting a part time Teaching Assistant who is caring, enthusiastic, reliable, and able to support learning at our Infant site (Pewley Down). Ideally, this would be a 4 day role but there could be scope for fewer days. Please state in your application how many days you are looking for.

In this TA role, you will support the children as directed by the class teacher. The role will also involve supporting children with addtional needs; individually, in groups and within the whole class provision. This is a varied role and we are looking for a flexible and resourceful individual, able to cope confidently in a demanding environment and able to adapt to changing situations.

The role requires the ability to work well in a team. Applications are invited from interested parties who:

• have excellent interpersonal skills

• have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths at Grade C/equivalent)

• have good organisational skills

• are flexible

• have a good sense of humour

Working hours: 0830 - 1500 (4 days a week, term time only), or there could be scope for fewer days

Actual salary: £14,366 for 24 hours per week
