We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of English (0.4FTE) to join our Language & Communication Faculty. We are currently seeking a passionate and creative teacher to deliver Year 7 and Year 8 lessons that inspire a love of English and reading among our pupils. You will be responsible for delivering English lessons in line with our curriculum, have experience of teaching across a range of topic areas whilst ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained which allow your learners to flourish.
Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School, part of the Wessex Learning Trust, is situated in the beautiful rural Cheddar Valley in Somerset, drawing our pupils from the surrounding villages. We currently have 593 pupils on roll. Candidates are warmly invited to contact the school and arrange a discussion with the Headteacher to explore any aspects of the role in more depth.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:
• An outstanding teacher (or an ECT aspiring to be an outstanding practitioner).
• Able to consistently teach inspirational lessons and have good subject knowledge.
• Organised and have excellent communication skills.
• Innovative, creative and enthusiastic – able to encourage pupils to achieve their potential.
