POST TITLE: Art & DT Technician

HOURS OF WORK: 35hrs per week - Term Time Only

Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School seeks to appoint a talented and dynamic individual to support our successful Art and DT team. Working in our incredible DT department, you will be assisting teachers with the preparation of materials for Art and DT and using the machinery within these departments. You will need to respond to departmental requests to prepare and deliver materials to lessons to ensure that students have the materials they require. You should have experience of using Microsoft Word and Outlook, be willing to various equipment and experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential. You will need to be an organised and efficient colleague with the skills to manage your own time, priorities and deadlines.
Candidates will need to demonstrate:
• Committed to supporting pupils.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Effective ICT skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations guidelines and putting them into practise.
• Ability to motivate and to support learning
• Previous experience of working with young people is desirable.
