Under the supervision of the SENDCo; to take a lead role within the school to address the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. Managing and deploying the team of Teaching Assistants to ensure students’ needs are met.

The post will suit someone with a natural ability to engage with and build an excellent rapport with young people and will involve the management of systems, policy and procedures around planning cycles for students with SEND and supporting work programmes and interventions.

Overseeing the SEND inclusion room (MidPoint), the successful candidate will take line management responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant Team, directing them as appropriate in order to ensure they are supporting the needs of students with SEND.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our popular and successful school in beautiful West Cornwall. Pupils value the warm and respectful relationships they have with their teachers. It is a highly inclusive school”.

We value our long-standing and well-deserved reputation for a cooperative and inclusive ethos which encourages, supports and develops students of all abilities.
