A warm welcome from Rachel Cumberlidge, the Head teacher

Huncote Primary School is a warm and welcoming school at the heart of the village community. We have 175 pupils in seven classes.

The school inside is modern, attractive and well-maintained. The classrooms are well-equipped and the grounds of the school are very attractive, containing a trim trail, garden area, amphitheatre and quiet shelter. We also have a multi-surface bright modern playground area. The playing field is large enough to accommodate a football pitch and a running track in the summer. There are a wide variety of extra-curricular activities available to pupils of all ages and the school takes part in a range of inter-school sports competitions throughout the year. We are proud of the care, guidance and support we provide for all our pupils and particularly those with Special Educational Needs and are an inclusive and caring school.

Huncote Primary School admits pupils between the ages of four and eleven. Children younger than this usually attend the local preschool, which takes place in our community centre attached to the school.

Huncote Primary School is part of Embrace Multi Academy Trust.

We believe our school is a place where each and every child is valued and are encouraged to become independent, happy, responsible and creative learners.

We are extremely proud of our Christian ethos and values and believe that children will leave us having experienced lots of exciting learning opportunities, having excelled academically and socially and with the feeling of being an important part of a caring Christian community.

If you would like any more information about our wonderful school please do not hesitate to call for an informal chat or to make an appointment to come and see for yourself what makes us so special.

Vision

Proud.jpg
We aim to:

  • Provide a vibrant, stimulating and caring environment;
  • Encourage our children to thrive academically, socially and emotionally;
  • Engage our children in a creative, inspiring and inclusive curriculum;
  • Motivate and inspire our children for a life-long love of learning;
  • Work together within our school community to prepare our children for the challenges of modern life;
  • Provide and promote a safe philosophy for the whole school community.

These aims are realised through effective working partnerships between staff, pupils, parents, governors, other schools, the Local Authority and the wider community. They are present through all school life and practice.
