We have an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to join our successful Personal Learning team
on a fixed term basis, to support and raise the attainment of our students. Ideally, we would like
someone to work 5 days per week, but part time requests of less than 5 days will be considered.
Working under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, you will assist with teaching and learning
and associated activities in order to help students make outstanding progress through appropriate
targeted interventions. As a teaching assistant you will also assist, when required, with the planning,
delivery and evaluation of learning activities, supporting in whole classes and working with individuals
and small groups of students.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification), or recent
proven experience of working effectively with young people at this level in a similar role in an education
setting. Teamwork is an important part of this role and it is essential that you have excellent
communication skills and the ability to engage and work with a range of school professionals.
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching.
