Daily Rate Range : £150 to £250 depending on qualifications and experience
We are currently providing support to small groups of students referred to us by the Local Authority and schools, both online and face-to-face at our satellite base of the Alternative College in Leatherhead, Surrey. The Alternative College is part of the Inclusive Education Trust of which all schools are rated as ‘Outstanding’.
We are looking for Tutors to start September 2023 who have a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged and vulnerable learners with good all round knowledge of supporting students with Special Educational Needs and managing challenging behaviour.
We offer flexible working which can be hourly, daily or weekly to suit your schedule, with competitive rates of pay dependent on qualifications and experience.
Tutoring will take place on school premises, although there may be the potential for online sessions to be remote (working from home) at some point in the future.
As the successful candidate you will:
- be an experienced tutor/teacher with the ability to work in a way that promotes health and safety and wellbeing of young people at all times.
- have experienced of working with young people with Special Educational Needs
- have experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes and able to follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- have an understanding of current legislation in Education
- hold an enhanced DBS with Child Barred List for the Child Workforce only (we can facilitate a new check if required)
Terms of engagement:
- This position involves engaging with us as a Worker via a third party umbrella company, to provide short-term engagements as and when they arise
- You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE
- We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage
- Our insurance covers the work you do for us
