We are looking for a nurturing, fun loving and inspirational practitioner to join our team at Bright Sparks Nursery, IKB Primary School, Wellington.

Do you have:

  • A warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special and loved.
  • The skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people as this is of utmost importance.
  • The flair to feel comfortable entering public places on the way home from work with unknown substances on your clothing or dressed up in fancy dress.
  • The ability to sing in tune is not necessary; however, the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
  • The knack to remember the names of many children, their parents, siblings, grandparents, pets and special soft toys is a key component of this job. Again, this is something that will develop over time.
  • A high level of comfort with being asked personal questions by children is essential. For example, you will regularly be asked questions regarding what you are having for lunch, whether you are willing to share said lunch.
  • You must have the ability to read a ten-page book upside down with at least one interruption per page.
  • The expertise to authentically show an interest in and curiosity for bugs and creepy crawlies is essential, even if they are your biggest fear on earth.

If so come join our team at our exciting and stimulating nursery setting in Wellington. Inspiring 2 - 4 year olds across our Trust nurseries.

Main Objectives:

  • To provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
  • To build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
