Snowdon Village Academy is seeking a skilled and passionate hairdresser or barber who is eager to share their vocational expertise in a classroom setting. This exciting opportunity involves teaching Key Stage 4 students, helping them develop practical skills and explore future careers in the hair and beauty industry.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys mentoring and empowering young people. While a formal teaching qualification is not required, your industry experience and enthusiasm will be instrumental in shaping the aspirations and success of learners across our academy.

• experienced in the hair and beauty sector with an interest in teaching your skills to varied learners.
• a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students.
• a well-qualified specialist, with either a teaching qualification or experience of training staff in a relevant environment.
• We look for professionals who have excellent class management skills and have high expectations of work and behaviour.

About Snowdon Village:
Snowdon Village is a multi-site, cross-phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School.
Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school. Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long-term residential care to short-term, part-time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.
