The John of Gaunt School is looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team. Working as a member of staff within our Trust you will be a part of a team and play an active role in ensuring the learning and development of all our young people.
The working hours for this role are expected to be, 08:25 - 15:10, which includes 35 minutes unpaid lunch break. The remaining 1 hour 10 minutes are to be worked during the week either before or after the stated times. This vacancy is 32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include, supervising the learning of whole classes during absence of the class teacher and undertake work set be the teacher. To deliver mentoring and intervention sessions while supporting the Pastoral and Behaviour Support Centre. The successful candidate with be able to manage the behaviour of students to ensure a constructive learning environment. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English.
