At Kedleston Group, our vision is simple, every provision we operate will be recognised as ‘outstanding’ in every way. We will never be the biggest, but we will lead, and others will follow.

About the role:

As Assistant Head at Leaways School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be working as part of the Senior Leadership Team for operational oversight on a daily basis and contributing towards curriculum forward planning and timetable construction for breadth and depth of the curriculum offer, as required. You will be responsible for Quality assurance and professional standards, including Performance Management, Report writing for Governance, audits and formal requests. You will support student review processes and procedures at all stages, working with the SENCO to monitor, record, evaluate and plan programmes for individual pupils.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS and a degree. You will have leadership and management experience in an ASC/SEMH school setting, the ability to observe children who are dysregulating and write interventions to support engagement and self-regulation, communicate a vision and inspire others, and experience of staff development. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective primary teaching, which engages and motivates young people, you’ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you’ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. We would love to hear from you if you share our passion and commitment to developing confident and capable young people by meeting their educational, health and social care needs in structured, nurturing school and home provisions.
