We are looking to appoint a Level 3 qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and caring team at Knaphill Lower School Nursery.

Vacancy: Nursery Practitioner (full and relevant Level 3 qualified)

Academy: Knaphill Lower School

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32 hours per week term time only, 190 days per year (38 weeks). In addition to your commitment of annual hours you are required to attend up to 5 In Service Training (INSET) days. Overtime will be paid for any INSET days worked.

Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm and Wednesday 8:30am to 4:00pm (with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break)

Salary Range: SWAN Grade 4

Actual Annual Pro-rata Salary: £17,748 (full-time equivalent £23,824 )

Start date: As soon as possible


Although we are looking to appoint a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner, we will also accept applications from Level 2 qualified or experienced unqualified applicants with the aim of supporting training to complete Level 3. Please note, there will be a variation in Pay Grade. This will be discussed at interview.

Knaphill Lower School Nursery is caring and nurturing. The setting has a large indoor area, providing a secure and stimulating place in which children can develop, explore, achieve, and enjoy. The Nursery environments and staff encourage all children to become happy confident and independent learners, which enables the children to make a smooth transition to school. Our Nursery area, both inside and out, is ideal for discovery and exploration, and our open-ended resources support the children to carry out investigations, work together, compromise and share, take risks, gain independence, and have lots of fun!

You will work as a member of the nursery team to ensure that all children who attend Knaphill Lower School Nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe, and receive rich and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs.
