We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Examinations Officer to lead the administration and delivery of all external and internal examinations in line with awarding body regulations.
In addition to this, the Examinations Officer is responsible for leading and coordinating a team of exam invigilators during key exam periods and ensuring the accurate and timely communication with staff, students and parents regarding exam arrangements. This is a pivotal role requiring precision, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
The role demands a very high level of understanding of examination management, so previous examination experience is essential, ideally within an educational setting. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, plus excellent organisational and time-management skills. The ability to work independently and use initiative particularly during key exam periods is also highly desirable.
A competitive salary and generous benefits accompany this role, and the successful candidate will be able to work the hours necessary to complete the responsibilities.
The closing date for applications is 9am on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 and interviews will be held during the week commencing 7th July 2025. The school reserves the right to commence the interview process at any time prior to the closing date so early application is recommended.
Prior to interview, an online search will be conducted to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role. This is in line with guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education. Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in a school environment. Issues that arise will not automatically be a bar to your employment at this school.
