Kingston Grammar School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Keyboard who will lead, coordinate and promote keyboard music within the music department at KGS during an exciting period of expansion within the school and the department.

This role comprises 3 hours of work per week (term time) and is split broadly in half between rehearsal and administrative work.

In addition, the successful candidate will undertake at least one day per week teaching one-to-one piano lessons (separately invoicing the parents for this teaching work). As part of the interview process, you will be required to teach a 15-minute lesson to a current student.

The closing date for applications is Monday, 17th March 2025 at 9 am.

The school reserves the right to commence the interview process at any time prior to the closing date so early application is recommended.

Prior to interview, an online search will be conducted to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role. This is in line with guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education. Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in a school environment. Issues that arise will not automatically be a bar to your employment at this school.
