The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year 2023) is looking to recruit enthusiastic Exam Invigilators to work at The King Alfred School – An Academy site in Highbridge.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring that examinations are conducted in line with school and JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations. You will assist with setting up the exam room, admitting and seating students, distributing and collecting exam papers, monitoring students during exams, and maintaining a calm, supportive environment.

Full training will be provided. This is a casual, term-time-only role with hours dependent on the school’s examination timetable.

As part of this role, you will;

  • Have responsibility for the invigilation of examinations as directed by the Examinations Officer.
  • To ensure that any minor behaviour issues are dealt with in line with the school policy and Examination Code of Conduct and are reported to the supervising teacher/Examinations Officer immediately.
  • To assist in admitting the candidates into the examination room and enabling them to find their seats quietly and efficiently.

  • Professional and approachable, with the ability to manage student behaviour fairly and consistently
  • Confident in using basic IT systems

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
