The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work at King Charles I School. The successful candidate will work closely with our pastoral team to promote excellent attendance, remove barriers to attendance and reduce levels of absence so that all students achieve their full potential. Who we are looking for:

We are seeking to appoint a cover supervisor to work at King Charles I School from the earliest opportunity.

The successful candidate will:

 work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.

 supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

The post is permanent, term time only plus the school training days and with a variable hours contract between 25-36 hours per week. The core hours will be decided on a termly basis with a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice provided for any changes to hours. Salary Scale TA 3 (point range 7-17) (£25,992- £30,060) pro-rated to term time only working. King Charles I School is split site school and the successful candidate will be expected to travel between the two sites (approx. 2 minutes via car).

This role reports to a member of SLT.

This vacancy is also open to a further recruitment payment of £500 (payable after 6 months of service) if you are recommended to us by a current member of staff, as part of our Recommend a Friend scheme.

You will have:

Our successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

 NVQ level 3 or above qualification appropriate to the post or relevant experience.

 Level 2 in English and maths or evidence of working at this level.

 Very good IT, numeracy and literacy skills.

 Willingness to undertake further professional development.

 Previous experience of working in a classroom environment with students.

 Experience of procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding.
