We are looking to appoint an ambitious & aspirational Head of PE whose passionate, proactive, and forward-thinking approach will support the continued improvement of the department. An earlier start date is possible if desired.

We are a successful 11–16 mixed comprehensive judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and now on our journey to outstanding.

Our knowledgeable PE department is motivated to give the students the best possible experience and are “Driven by passion for sports; the physical, social and emotional benefits of activity for all."

Our curriculum and extra-curricula offer delivers a wide variety of sports including netball, football, rugby, badminton, tennis, table tennis, athletics, trampolining, rounders, cricket, dodgeball, kick boxing and gymnastics with the aim to include many more over the next few years such as Gaelic football, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, handball and young leaders award in sport to name a few.

The College boasts PE facilities including an all-weather hockey/football pitch, a sports hall, a gymnasium, grass rugby pitch, an 11 aside football pitch and two 9 a side football pitches.

This role focuses on providing high quality, strategic leadership and management. The successful candidate will work in partnership with other middle leaders to ensure that the highest standards are set. You will be able to articulate a strategic vision for the department and will monitor, evaluate and improve attainment and progress of all our students. The post holder will be involved in the formulation of policies and practices which will develop learning and quality first in order to support and sustain improvements.
