Headteacher's Welcome

I am very proud to give you an insight into our school, our amazing children and staff. I hope it helps you to get to know our school and our values a little better. Our main aim at Knowle Park Primary is to ensure all children feel safe, valued and happy. When these aspects are in place, our children can achieve great things.

Our dedicated staff team strive to provide an excellent education for our children. We work hard to ensure the attainment and progress of our children is the best it can be. We are also proud of the pastoral support in place for pupils including our fantastic family link worker, pupil mentor and nurture programme.

Our children receive exciting learning experiences through our fun and interesting curriculum. Our topics provide valuable learning opportunities, involving visitors to school, showcase events for parents and theme days as well as lots of trips out of school. You can see examples on our class pages.

We take pride in our school environment, both indoors and outdoors, developing opportunities for play and team work in our playgrounds as well as high quality displays around the school which demonstrate the creativity of the curriculum and stimulate children's learning.

The staff and governors are proud of the progress we are making as a school. We are proud and delighted by our talented children and are grateful for the support of our parent/carers and wider community.

I hope you enjoy finding out more about the school, but feel free to contact us if you would like to visit. I am always very proud to show visitors around our school.

Our Ethos

At Knowle Park Primary, our kite represents our school ethos of flying high.

Each letter of 'kite' has its own special meaning:

K is for kindness, represented by our values animal Tortoise.

I is for inspiration, represented by our values animal Unicorn.

T is for together, represented by our values animal Bee.

E is for excelling, represented by our values animal Owl.

Each class has its own kite display as a reminder that our values are at the centre of our learning.

These values are recognised and celebrated in class, in and around school and in our Friday celebration assemblies.
