We are seeking to appoint a committed, dynamic and innovative Lead Teacher of Design and Technology. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified and committed practitioner to take the next step in their career. We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a genuine passion for Design and Technology, the ability to teach confidently across specialisms, and the vision to lead a thriving subject area.
You will be passionate about leading your team to achieve excellence in both attainment and assessment for all students across all subjects in Design and Technology, reviewing, implementing and improving systems where required and raising overall standards.
Candidates will need to demonstrate they are:
• Provide strategic leadership for Design and Technology across Key Stages 3–5
• Lead curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance within the department
• Model outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues in developing their expertise
• Teach across a range of Design and Technology disciplines with creativity, confidence and adaptability
• Contribute to extracurricular opportunities that enrich students’ learning
• Champion innovation, practical learning and high standards of achievement
