Additional Learning Support Coordinator

Job description

South Bank Colleges is a vibrant and inclusive place to work, where staff are united by a shared ambition to transform lives through education. Rated Good by Ofsted in 2025, inspectors praised the college’s “strong culture of inclusion” and the way staff “foster an understanding of diversity” across all campuses. Adult learning was rated Outstanding, and learners spoke of the college as “an integral part of their journey in life.” With a broad curriculum offer, expert tutors and deep links to the local community and employers, South Bank Colleges is a rewarding environment for education professionals to thrive.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Additional Learning Support (ALS) Coordinator to oversee and drive the successful planning, execution, and delivery of Additional Learning Support initiatives within South Bank College. This role involves coordinating a team of Learning Support Practitioners (LSPs) and actively maintaining key working relationships with managers and curriculum staff to ensure the effective deployment of the LSP team.

The ALS Coordinator will lead and develop the LSP team professionally, focusing on their support practices, learning visits, timetabling, and coordination of support. This position may require working at more than one College Centre on a regular basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ALS Coordinator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys working on diverse projects that have a real impact. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring successful execution of support adding value to the organisation.

This role is offered on a Permanent and Full time (36 hours a week) basis.

Closing Date: Sunday 29th June 2025, at 11.59pm.

Interviews will take place on: Week commencing 14th July 2025
