We are seeking an experience and exceptional Head of Additional Learning Support and Inclusion. This is a high impact leadership role for an experienced SEND professional who is passionate about ensuring every student can access, participate and succeed at South Bank Colleges.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for learners with additional needs. Working closely with senior leaders, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation's SEND strategy, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring every learner receives the support they need to succeed.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification.
- Significant experience managing ALS or SEND teams within a Further Education setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, High Needs Funding and Local Authority processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A level 5 SEND-specific qualification.
- A Certificate in Psychometric Testing, Assessment and Access Arrangements (or equivalent) is desirable
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for Additional Learning Support services, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and student-centred provision. You'll lead the development of inclusive practice across the college while working collaboratively with curriculum teams, parents, local authorities and external agencies.
This role is offered on a full-time basis (36 hours per week) as a 12-month maternity cover.
