We are seeking a dedicated GCSE and Functional Skills Lecturer in English.

 (16-18 and adult provision) with passion for helping students improve their English skills for both everyday life and future opportunities. Your role will involve creating engaging lessons, setting achievable goals to challenge students, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate must have the following;

  • A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification as well as a level 5 subject specialism in English.
  • Experience of teaching English in a further education college and evidence of the ability to teach effectively. 
  • Willingness to work flexibly to deliver a student focused curriculum (including working up to two evenings a week).
  • Commitment to an inclusive education.
