We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in Physics and Mathematics, supporting learners across various pathways including BTEC Nationals, T-Levels, and Access to HE Diplomas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-established and forward-thinking department, focused on excellence and student success.
As a Lecturer at South Bank Colleges, you will play a vital role in preparing learners for progression to higher education and employment within STEM industries. You will inspire and challenge students through engaging, inclusive, and industry-relevant teaching.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd), or a willingness to obtain one within the first two years of employment
- A Level 5 (or higher) subject specialism in Physics, Mathematics or a closely related STEM field
- Experience of teaching Physics and/or Mathematics within Further Education or Sixth Form setting (including BTEC, T-Levels, or Access to HE) and evidence of the ability to teach effectively
- A student-centred approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding learning experiences
- Willingness to work flexibly to deliver a student-focused curriculum, including teaching up to two evenings per week
- A strong commitment to inclusive education and an understanding of diverse learner needs

This role is offered on a Full time (36 hours a week) and permanent basis.
