We are seeking a dynamic and learner-focused Visiting Tutor in Counselling to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across counselling programmes at South Bank Colleges and Academies (SBA/SBC). This role will focus on supporting students to develop the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required for progression within the counselling profession, while ensuring an engaging and inclusive learning experience.
As a Visiting Tutor in Counselling at South Bank Colleges, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by inspiring and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds, contributing to curriculum development, and helping students achieve their academic and career goals within a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate must have the following;
- A degree in counselling related courses, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Must be CPCAB approved lecturer in counselling.
- A recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) or equivalent) with Level 5 subject specialism.
- A Literacy/English, ICT and a Numeracy/Maths qualification at Level 2 are also required.
The successful candidate must have experience of planning and developing curriculum programmes within their subject discipline, with good communication and organisational skills. Ideally, teaching experience is also required, together with evidence of continuous professional development. The candidate will have knowledge and experience of the animation curriculum and be willing to work extensively with employers.
