Fairfield High School is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic inspirational English Teacher. Fairfield has a positive and innovative learning culture supported by students, staff, parents and Governors.
This post is a full time position on a fixed term contract until 31/08/2025. You will join a friendly, supportive and successful staff team who provide our students with an inspiring curriculum in a school that excels in the career development of its staff.
The successful candidate will be a part of a very successful department and will need to demonstrate:
• The ability to teach English to KS3 & KS4 level
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent understanding of the English curriculum at key stages 3 & 4
• Willingness to plan highly effective schemes of work and lessons
• Excellent organisational and ICT skills
• A high degree of initiative
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a faculty team
• The ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results
The successful candidate needs to be familiar with the GCSE course (preferably AQA) alongside the use of data to track and monitor students/interventions. Candidates must have a good degree in English, QTS.
