Langshott Primary School is a vibrant two form entry school, situated in the richly diverse community of Horley, near Gatwick airport.  The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and well-motivated School Business Manager to join our successful team.

We are looking for a well qualified, experienced professional to work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the school's strategic vision and leadership for all aspects of finance, personnel, premises and health and safety management.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Leadership and management experience, in areas including finance, human resources and health and safety - preferably in a school setting.
  • Experience of premises and facilities management.
  • The capacity to work under pressure, as well as having a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to change.
  • An understanding of how efficient and effective administration supports the educational priorities of the school.
  • A high level of professional discretion and a high standard of both verbal and written communication.
  • A genuine desire to involve yourself in the life of our school and to work as part of our forward thinking team of professionals.

We offer a beautiful setting, with excellent facilities, good resources, supportive staff and enthusiastic children.  We are committed to inclusive practises, the achievement of high standards and working in close partnership with parents and the community.

We encourage you to visit or telephone the Headteacher for an informal conversation prior to application.

An early application is recommended as candidates will be assessed and shortlisted as their application is received. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.

This post involves working with children and therefore, if successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
