Laurus Cheadle Hulme are currently looking for a dedicated Teacher of Girls PE who can contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences. We are searching for an individual who possesses a genuine enthusiasm for sports and PE, both within the classroom and beyond. This post is suitable for both experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers.
This position is contracted to 26 hours per week (0.8 part time)
Our curriculum is broad and balanced allowing students to develop the knowledge and skills to be physically active and healthy now and in later life. It promotes a love of physical activity and the confidence to participate. Furthermore, promotes the academic side of the subject closely linking practical and academic concepts to ensure Powerful Knowledge is accessed by all.
Students will be presented with intellectual and physical challenges, which they will work as a team to overcome while demonstrating the trust qualities. Students will develop a knowledge and understanding of how to work with students of variety of different skill levels and strengths. They will be guided to use leadership qualities when working as part of a team and respond to the strengths and weaknesses of those they are working with, with the intention of students taking these skills in to working life. Sportspersonship should be visible in all lessons with students abiding by rules, being humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
