We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our growing team at Crown Street Primary School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower pupils to reach their full potential.
Due to Crown Street Primary's unique location, there is no parking on site. However, there are Pay & Display bays on the surrounding roads of Great Jackson Street, which is where Crown Street Primary School is located. Public transport is excellent, with Crown Street Primary School being a 7-minute walk from Deansgate Train Station and Deansgate-Castlefield Tram Stop. We also offer interest free loans for the purchase of annual travel tickets.

You will play a vital role in enhancing pupils progress whilst promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

This position is contracted on a 30 hours per week + 5 days Term Time Only basis (8:45am-15:15pm). This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.
Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please find the Job Description below)
- To provide high standards of care and play opportunities for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old in a safe, secure and stimulating kids club environment.
- To provide supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period both in the dining area and during playground activities.
Key Skills and Experiences
- Sound Educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
- Good knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests
- Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage
