An exciting opportunity to work with a number of Trust schools to coordinate communication and engagement activities, by using creative thinking combined with marketing skills, to attract new parents and drive continuous, sustained, positive and proactive engagement with existing parents. We are looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to take the initiative and think creatively.

Hours: Term time only - 39 weeks per year. Flexible hours/working patterns available and remote working, with some travel required at times within Leicestershire.

Salary: £26,427 - £28,776 FTE dependent on experience.

Permanent contract to start as soon as possible.

About the role:

Reporting to the Trust Communication and Marketing Manager and working closely with your schools’ headteachers, you will be responsible for:

  • Building a relationship with your schools and identifying key priorities
  • Sourcing, creating and managing each school’s social media in line with the wider trust social media strategy
  • Writing press releases and organising photoshoots
  • Organising and staging open morning events
  • Developing, enhancing and maintaining professional relationships with local media, nurseries, local housing developers and key members of the community
  • Designing and coordinating school marketing materials including print, video and online content
  • Managing the school’s website in line with the trust website strategy
  • Liaising with school offices and PTAs to promote school events

About you:

Key Experience & Qualifications

  • Significant experience and training in PR and/or marketing
  • Creative design skills
  • GCSE English and maths grade C or above
