JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LSA to join our happy, vibrant learning community. The role will involve providing educational support for a child with a visual impairment so that they are able to thrive within our setting.
Working: 31 hours, 15 minutes per week
Monday to Friday 8.45 am to 3.30pm including 30 minutes lunch
Term time plus Inset days
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful applicant will be:
- Experienced in supporting pupils with complex special educational needs which can include behaviour that challenges.
- Passionate about helping children to overcome barriers to their learning.
- Committed to ongoing professional development, particularly those related to supporting children with a visual impairment.
- Committed to working in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures.
- An outstanding practitioner committed to raising standards and to developing every aspect of our children including their communication and language skills.
- Able to think creatively to make learning exciting and relevant.
- Highly organised and able to manage their time effectively.
- Reflective practitioners who are keen to develop and progress.
- Positive, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a wider team.
- Educated to at least GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English (an NVQ or equivalent in Learning Support or Early Years is also desirable).
