Fixed Term – Maternity Cover
LPT Grade 7 £34,970 - £37,274 per annum FTE
Applications will be considered for full-time or part-time working. The post holder will be required to work at least 30 hours per week over a minimum of 4 days over 40 weeks per year (term time plus 1 additional non- term time week). You will need to have the flexibility to occasionally adjust your working pattern according to the needs of the trust. Please denote your preference within your application.

Learning Partners is a growing and thriving multi-academy trust, working with 17 schools across Surrey and set to expand to 28 schools. The trust provides a wider range of services to support schools; the operational support services are led by a team consisting of the Heads of our key departments – HR, Finance, Governance, Estates and IT.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Officer to join our Central Team on a one-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, starting in September 2026.
This role will play a key part in delivering strategic Trust projects, including school conversions, transfers, and wider growth initiatives. Working closely with the COO and senior stakeholders, you will take a proactive role in coordinating, monitoring and driving project delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong project management or coordination experience looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
The role is based at our central offices in Guildford, with occasional travel to Trust schools
You will:
• Lead the facilitation and preparation of Conversion & Transfer package options for schools joining the Trust
• Track and lead on project stages to oversee adherence to project plans, timelines and deliverables and provide ongoing updates to the team
• Lead project engagement and provide timely updates and feedback
• Act as primary point of contact for project-related queries
• Be responsive and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities, working with internal and external stakeholders to agree appropriate actions.
• Be responsible for project tracking by maintaining project performance data and producing regular internal and external project reports and insights
• Lead and support procurement projects, ensuring effective planning, value for money, and compliance with trust and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices
JOB REQUIREMENTS
You will have
• Experience in project management, coordination or a similar role
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to work with a variety of managers and key stakeholders in an effective manner
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise conflicting workload priorities
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to reach all project stakeholders
