HLTA Full-time or part-time | 8:30am–3:30pm

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your career? Are you confident leading learning, working with groups and taking responsibility for a class when required?

Do you have a passion for supporting children with SEND and helping every child achieve their full potential?  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA to take on a varied role with genuine responsibility for teaching and learning.  You will work closely with class teachers and the leadership team to support children across Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Alongside classroom support and targeted interventions, you will deliver teaching to individuals, groups and, when required, whole classes.  The role will include both planned teacher cover and short-notice emergency cover, so you will need to be confident managing a class, delivering purposeful learning and maintaining high expectations. You will also have opportunities to deliver targeted interventions and small-group teaching tailored to children's individual needs.

The role will include:

• Delivering planned lessons and learning activities to individuals, groups and whole classes;
• Providing planned and emergency short-term teacher cover;
• Working closely with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning;
• Delivering targeted interventions, particularly for pupils with SEND;
• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and develop independence;
• Assessing learning and providing feedback to teachers;
• Supporting early reading, phonics, writing and mathematics;
• Helping pupils develop positive learning behaviours;
• Contributing to the development of inclusive practice across the school;
• Supporting pupils during lunchtime and playtimes; and
• Contributing to the wider life of our school.

We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who hold HLTA status or an HLTA qualification, although this is not essential.
