An opportunity has become available for a Finance and HR Assistant to work with a newly appointed School Business Manager at Burpham Primary School. The role is for 24 hours per week for 40 weeks of the year (term time plus INSETs plus one week) with days and times of attendance to be discussed with the successful candidate.

The Finance and HR Assistant provides efficient and confidential support to the School Business Manager in the areas of finance and human resources, ensuring smooth daily operations of the school's financial and staffing processes.

The successful candidate will have:

  • experience of working in a busy office environment
  • experience of finance systems and databases
  • excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office and database management
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • book-keeping or invoice processing experience (desirable)
  • HR record keeping or payroll processing experience (desirable)

Burpham Primary School is a two-form entry school within the Learning Partners Academy Trust for children between the ages of four and eleven. Additionally, we have a Specialist KS1 SLCN Centre for children with speech, language and communication needs, which presents excellent opportunities for collaborative working with the SLCN team. The school was inspected in June 2025 and was found to have maintained the standard from the previous inspection in which it was judged Outstanding.
