Hours: 14-21 hours per week over 41 weeks per year, dependant on experience

At Loseley Fields Primary School, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the financial health and long-term success of our school. You will work closely with school leaders to ensure resources are managed effectively, enabling the very best outcomes for pupils and staff.

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day financial operations of the school, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient and fully compliant with Trust and statutory requirements.

Working closely with the Headteacher and Hub Head of Finance, you will provide valuable financial insight and guidance to support strategic decision-making and effective budget management.

You will also oversee and support the Finance Officer, helping to maintain high standards across all transactional finance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

• Produce accurate financial reports and management information

• Ensure compliance with Trust policies and financial regulations

• Monitor income, expenditure and budget performance

• Support senior leaders with financial analysis and decision-making

• Line manage and support the Finance Officer

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in financial management

• Is confident in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting

• Can communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues

• Is highly organised, analytical and detail-focused

• Builds positive and professional working relationships

• Takes initiative and is committed to continuous improvement

• Shares our commitment to supporting excellent educational outcomes

Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
