Glebelands School — HR Coordinator
3 days a week (flexible), 40 weeks a year | Start date: September 2026
Glebelands School is a community secondary school for students aged 11 to 16 and part of Learning Partners Academy Trust. We are a school built on two simple but powerful words: respect and achieve. We don't apologise for our high expectations — of our students, our staff, or ourselves — and we are continually strengthening and improving everything we do. If you share that drive for doing things properly and doing them well, you'll fit right in.
Be the Person Who Puts the Right People in the Right Place.
Every great school is built on its people. The teachers who inspire, the support staff who go the extra mile, the leaders who set the tone. And behind every one of them — from the moment they apply to the day they thrive — is someone who made the process seamless, professional and human. That someone is you.
We're looking for an HR Coordinator who understands that HR isn't just administration — it's the foundation on which a great team is built. You'll provide a professional, confidential and efficient HR service across the full employee lifecycle: oversees recruitment and safer recruitment compliance, coordinating onboarding and inductions, maintaining the Single Central Record, and ensuring our staff records and HR systems are always accurate and up to date.
You'll also take ownership of monthly payroll administration — communicating staffing changes, resolving queries, uploading payslips and working closely with our Finance Officer on month-end reconciliation. And when it comes to the quieter but equally vital work — contracts, letters, performance management support, leaver processes and employee relations casework — you'll handle it all with discretion, precision and care.
You'll thrive here if you:
• Bring previous HR and payroll administration experience and know your way around an HR database
• Understand safer recruitment legislation and take compliance seriously
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute professionalism
• Stay organised and accurate even when juggling competing deadlines
• Communicate warmly and clearly with colleagues at every level of the school
What's in it for you?
We offer a friendly, professional team with a strong collaborative ethos, an excellent benefits package, Local Government Pension Scheme membership, a supportive senior leadership team, and training and development tailored to your needs — including support towards a CIPD qualification for the right candidate — all within a rewarding role that makes a genuine difference to young people every day.
If you're the person who understands that looking after staff brilliantly is how you look after students brilliantly, we'd really love to hear from you.
Interview date: to be confirmed - we will interview as applications are received so please submit an early application.
