We have a flexible staff team and this is an opportunity to make the role work for you, applications for those interested in either part-time or full-time are equally welcome. Our school day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:20pm and while some staff work all day with a thirty minute unpaid lunch break, others work just mornings or afternoons or for just some of the week. Our current openings are fixed term positions but a permanent appointment may be available for the right candidate. Shifts working in our breakfast and after school club may also be available if desired. Although we are advertising for a September start, there may be opportunities for work in the summer term if the candidate has availability.
The successful candidates will:
- Have GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Ideally have experience of working with children in a school or nursery environment
- Be flexible and self-motivated
- Be caring and patient
- Have a sense of humour!

Burpham Primary School is a school within the Learning Partners Academy Trust for children between the ages of four and eleven with a KS1 Specialist Centre for children with communication and interaction needs (COIN). We aspire to help every child in our care to develop as a whole person, becoming confident, happy, independent, creative and adaptable; to love learning and achieve more than they ever thought possible. Our experienced and well-established teaching team have high expectations and aspirations for all our pupils and we never stop trying to find new ways of promoting learning and making improvements to our school.
Applications should be made using the attached form (CVs are not acceptable) and should reach the school by midday on Friday 19th April with interviews the following week but we reserve the right to interview and appoint before the closing date if the right candidate presents themselves so early applications are encouraged.
