Learning Support Assistant
Part time | 5 days per week, 31 hours | Term time only
Glebelands School is a community secondary school for students aged 11 to 16 and part of Learning Partners Academy Trust. We are a school built on two simple but powerful words: respect and achieve. We don't apologise for our high expectations — of our students, our staff, or ourselves — and we are continually strengthening and improving everything we do. If you share that drive for doing things properly and doing them well, you'll fit right in.
Be the Difference in Someone's Day. Every Day.
Some roles are hard to put into words. Not this one. As a Learning Support Assistant at Glebelands, you will work alongside students with special educational needs and disabilities — helping them access learning, build confidence and realise what they are truly capable of. It is patient, purposeful and genuinely rewarding work. And on the days when something clicks for a student who has been struggling? There is no better feeling.
We're looking for someone warm, calm and dependable — a team player with a good eye for detail, strong literacy and numeracy skills, and the kind of quiet determination that makes a real difference in a classroom. Experience in education is welcome but not essential. What matters most is the right attitude, a genuine care for young people and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
This position would suit someone looking to take their first steps in education — including graduates or those taking a gap year who want their time to mean something.
You'll thrive here if you:
• Genuinely enjoy working with and supporting young people
• Stay calm, patient and positive when things are challenging
• Work well as part of a team and take direction confidently
• Are organised, reliable and take pride in doing things properly
• Are open to training and committed to your own development
•
What's in it for you?
We offer a friendly, professional team with a strong collaborative ethos, an excellent benefits package, Local Government Pension Scheme membership, a supportive senior leadership team, and training and development tailored to your needs — all within a genuinely rewarding role that makes a real difference to young people every day.
How to apply

If you're ready to show up, make a difference and be part of something that truly matters, we'd really love to hear from you.
