Science Technician, Biology or Physics
Location - Near West Byfleet, Surrey (excellent transport links)
Contract type – part-time, 3-4 days per week, equating to 21.6 hours or 28.8 hours per week, term-time plus one (40 weeks)
Hours – 8am-4pm, flexible on days
Contract term - Permanent
Salary – Payscale LPT6, FTE £26,610-£29,199 (pro rata £14,209-£15,592 for 21.6 hours and £18,946-£20,789 for 28.8 hours)
Do you have a passion for science and an interest in supporting young people? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Technician to join our highly dedicated Science faculty. The role can be 3 or 4 days per week, and you will be part of dedicated team with a deep commitment to delivering excellent results at both GCSE and A Level, inspiring the scientists of the future.
The successful candidate will have a background or interest in Science, although full training will be given. You will support the team in lessons through the preparation, delivery and maintenance of equipment and through championing health & safety awareness. Your contribution will ensure that students can maximize their practical time and achieve the best possible results. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong rapport with students and colleagues. You will also be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
