Guildford County is an outstanding school seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to join a highly successful department to teach up to and including A Level. The position could suit either an experienced teacher, a recently qualified teacher or an unqualified teacher with the appropriate experience. We actively support new teachers with an established and extensive programme that will take you through your year(s). We are as committed to your development as we will expect you to be to the progress of your students.
Our results for 2022 were:
GCSE: 84% Grade 5+, 46% Grade 7+:
A level: 70% A*-C, 30% A*-A
We are looking for a teacher who is committed to raising standards at all levels; delivering excellent lessons and enthusing students through their passion for teaching. The right candidate should be able to teach/ have experience to lower school, upper school and A level curriculum. Experience in Python and Java is an advantage as these are the main programming languages we teach for GCSE and A level. We pride ourselves on our strong team ethos; we have high staff retention which we believe is due to the friendly, hardworking and supportive team who believe in providing the best opportunities for our students.
The successful applicant will have strong subject knowledge, and be a reflective practitioner who embraces emerging technologies, as well as the enthusiasm to contribute to all other aspects of school life.
