Assistant Head teacher opportunity in Leatherhead Trinity School

A fabulous Primary School in Leatherhead is looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher for a fixed term maternity cover. Ideally this would be for a September start although we could be flexible with this and accommodate an October start date. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious class teacher who is keen to try out a leadership role. We would equally welcome applications from experienced leaders who are looking for a new challenge.

Your role as an assistant head teacher would be to lead our COIN centre. This unit is a ‘low COIN’ model for children with developmental language disorders/delays and it is an integral part of the school, offering 21 places from Reception to Year 6. This means the children are educated within our mainstream classrooms or in small groups. The School is a big believer in creative and child-led learning and we pride ourselves on our unique COIN model whereby all children within the provision are fully immersed in the school community. Children have a bespoke timetable that reflects their needs, the therapy and interventions needed to support their development alongside academic progress and attainment.

We as a school are big believers in creative and child led learning. We go the extra mile to support and nurture the children in our COIN provision as well as trying to make every day in school exciting, engaging and full of new learning. We pride ourselves on the progress the children make throughout the school as well as the lovely, outgoing citizens they become.
